MISHA Knee Load Reduction Device | 3D Medical Device Animation Project Overview
Project Type
3D Medical Animation
Date
2025
Location
South Korea
Project Overview
This project is a 3D medical device animation created to clearly explain the procedure and operating mechanism of the MISHA (Medial Implantable Shock Absorber), a knee load reduction device designed to reduce medial compartment loading in the knee joint. The animation presents the device location, structure, and mechanism step by step, helping both medical professionals and general audiences understand how the procedure works.
Because the internal joint environment is difficult to capture through live-action filming, it was recreated in 3D to clearly show how the device helps absorb impact and redistribute load within the knee.
Visual Approach
The video presents the knee joint in a sectional view, showing where the device is implanted and how the procedure progresses. Bone, soft tissue, and joint movement are visualized together so viewers can understand how the device reduces pressure on the knee joint.
The animation also demonstrates how the device responds to joint movement by absorbing shock and redistributing load. Overly graphic surgical details were avoided, while enough anatomical information was preserved to keep the procedure clear and informative. This makes the content suitable for both medical education and medical device presentations.
Applications
This 3D medical device animation was produced for use in a variety of settings, including medical device introductions, academic presentations, exhibitions, and promotional materials.
