This medical 3D animation was created to clearly explain the workflow of a robotic-assisted Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) procedure. The project visualizes the structure and operation of the robotic system, as well as the step-by-step treatment process, allowing healthcare professionals, patients, and general audiences to understand the procedure in an intuitive and accessible way.

Using 3D visualization, the animation recreates the internal vascular environment and device movements that are difficult to observe through conventional filming. The result is an educational and explanatory piece that demonstrates how robotic-assisted cardiovascular intervention is performed in a clear and engaging manner.

Visualization Approach

The animation follows a structured narrative consisting of three key stages: disease introduction, limitations of conventional procedures, and the advantages of robotic-assisted intervention.

The story begins by illustrating the progression of coronary artery disease and the challenges associated with traditional treatment environments. It then transitions into the robotic-assisted workflow, demonstrating how advanced technology can improve procedural precision and efficiency.

The operating room environment was modeled based on real clinical settings, accurately representing equipment placement, procedural workflow, and treatment processes. Rather than focusing on highly realistic surgical depictions, the visualization was carefully designed to enhance understanding while maintaining an appropriate level of medical realism.

This balanced approach allows viewers to follow the treatment process comfortably while building confidence in the technology and medical procedure being presented.
